Team Member Pay

Team members at TGI Fridays are paid at least the minimum wage before any tips are taken into consideration. Believe it or not, many restaurant chains in the UK fail to do this.

In all stores we pay 2x basic pay on Christmas Day. Team members in England & Wales receive 1.5x on 26th December and 1st January, and team members in Scotland receive 1.5x on 1st and 2nd January.

Fair tips

When a guest tips one of our team members, it's because they've earned it and they deserve to keep every penny! That's why Fridays leapt at the chance to join the Daily Mirror's Fair Tips campaign the minute it launched. As a founding signatory, we were on board from day one.

The charter means:

  • Pay all employees at least the minimum wage with 100% of tips added on top as a bonus with no hidden charges.
  • Reach agreement on how tips are shared with those team members directly affected.
  • Make no deductions from tips to cover breakages, till shortages or guest walk-outs.
  • Make all rules for the distribution of tips and service charges available in writing for team members and guests on request.
